The Gathering: Art & Practice

This was the second of three one-day Gatherings to be held during 2010, and was on the theme “Art and Practice”. It was held on Sunday 29 August at the Berhampore School Hall, Wellington.

The programme included presentations from Wellington-based artists from varied disciplines who shared insights, questions and challenges they face in establishing and maintaining a sustainable art practice.

The purpose was to both celebrate the work that is already being done but also to acknowledge the enormity of strength and persistence that is required to keep going sometimes. So we asked presenters to share not only their successes but their questions and doubts as well.
